Carina earned her doctorate in the field of image processing, with a focus on monitoring vital parameters. In addition, she has in-depth knowledge of modeling relevant physiological systems, including the cardiovascular, respiratory, and thermoregulatory systems.

Building on her expertise in camera-based diagnostics (RGB, NIR, LWIR), Carina has, in recent years, specialized in the implementation of camera-based technologies for capturing and processing various vital parameters in the context of Automotive Health. Among Carina’s recent client projects are:

• Leading a team in developing in-vehicle prototypes for the acquisition of vital parameters using camera technologies such as RGB, NIR, and infrared thermography, as well as their data fusion.
• Consulting on the calculation and interpretation of HRV (heart rate variability) parameters.
• Designing, planning, and conducting field studies to generate relevant data.
• Developing strategies for integrating health and wellness solutions into vehicles, taking into account the hype cycle and the technology adoption lifecycle.
