Since 2016, Michael has been a recognized expert in “Automotive Health.” He possesses comprehensive knowledge of medical device law and the regulatory approval of medical products. His expertise also includes risk assessment and the planning and execution of clinical studies, where he is qualified as a principal investigator.

Michael earned his Doctor of Medicine degree with a dissertation on traffic medicine. In a meta-analysis, he systematically examined the effects of diazepam on driver performance. His scientific doctoral research focused on electrical impedance tomography of the lung.

Michael has supervised and continues to supervise numerous doctoral theses – both in the medical and engineering fields. So far, more than 15 doctoral candidates have successfully completed their work under his guidance, and he is currently supervising over 20 additional dissertations. Furthermore, Michael has published more than 100 scientific papers, written numerous book chapters, and delivered well over a hundred presentations
